I'm dumb!? please help!

Alrighty i may be stupid or may it's just 4 in the morning... But i super new to this, I have a psp with 2.0 firmware. I have fanjita's eBOOT, I got the emulators runing but no games. When you download a game is the a file you need to make in order to get them to run and is there a file name i should be looking for (i.e. RAR, or 7z) or am i way off? Thanks for the help and sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.

it will usually come as a zip or a rar, and just extract it and drop the folder onto your psp, just like emulators

Right i did all that i downloaded a rom, put in my game folder of my psp, so when i go to use it, i open the emulator and theres nothig except ...

and thats all dose that just mea the rom is junk or did i do something dumb?

It depends on the emulator. SMD, SMC, BIN files are what you are looking for.

put the rom in the same folder as the emulator

yes, IN the folder that has the save and state folder AND the rom needs a certain file extension, its not rar or zip. Its .smc for snes, and .smd and .bin for sega, eg. Super Mario.smc. AND psp/game/snestyl/ROM.smc.

Point taken, but I have sifted through a lot of roms, and I have plenty...around a 1000. Some didn't work because it wasn't the right file, and I could never find them when searching on my psp. The file has to be compatible.
