Saving data on DGen problem...
First post, yay.
I recently got enlightened to emulators on my PSP since Fanjita's EBoot GTA Beta thing came out. I got the Genesis (it brought back memories from when I was younger  ) and the SNES, problem is, I'm finding that none of the games on the DGen seem to save any data.
For example, I've got Streets of Rage and Shadowrun. After nearly completing SoR, and getting my name to the top of the high scores, the list was just filled with people called AAA once starting the game again.
Also, when I got a few hours through Shadowrun, I noticed I couldn't load my games, because they apparantly didn't exist, even though I get a message confirming when I save the game.
I'm intelligent, whatever you say I'll probably understand. I had a few theories for why this may not be working. First, I read that the cartridges had a battery in them or something to that effect, which meant that games could be saved, is this the case with ROMS?
I also thought maybe I had no more room on my stick, which meant no new data could be added, since overwriting my current Mario saves works fine. After checking though; I have about 7mb left.
Hopefully, I'll learn some new stuff about ROMS too, if you could help me in my dilemma, I'll be grateful.

I did search, just not well enough I suppose.
So I may as well delete Shadowrun since I can't save in it, damn... That game looked really good as well.
Also, my sister (who isn't quite as smart; she couldn't figure out how to go through doors in Mario) is finding that she can't save in Mario, much like the same problem I was having with the DGen. The one with the dinosaur, Yoshi, on the cover. I can save fine though, any theories for that?
