Started with Atari 2600 (a hand me down) -night driver-pole position-pacman
then my own C64 but the tape deck didnt work at first then learnt later that it was the bloody heads (a classic problem)-impossible mission-bubble dizzy-creatures-
i was speaking to a guy the other day who was repairing my mates computer and he vividly remembers the feeling that you dare not move while the C64 was loading just incase it did'nt work  anyone else remember that?
oh and the NES! which when i took up the nasty habit of smoking i used it to stash my packet of smokes in as i new it would be last place my parents would look! :shhh:
It was an Atari 2600...ah I remember playing Adventure, Indiana Jones, Empire Strikes Back and the crappy Pac Man LOL
i think the question here is what system did u like BEST not nessiarly what system u started out first.... and wouldnt the comp be really the frist system...??
SEGA!!! I cant remember if it was the cd one or the cartrage one.....( I had both)
i started out with the Nes witch my dads friend gave me :) . After that my front door neighboor gave me his super nintendo and all his games . After that i never saw him again . but thats what got me into games so im grateful that that he gave it to me . After that it was n64 and gameboys and such .
I Started out on the atari with pitfall and didn't really get hooked intill the nes playing river city ransom with my cousin for weeks on end in the summer time, then moved onto zelda, and then donkey kong for snes and then moved onto zelda ocarina of time for the n64 and so on
contra and bayou billy for the Nes I was 4 at the time
well, you have to have a catridge loading genesis to have a sega cd if i'm not mistaken, it was an add on I believe. But anywho my first was the genesis (the non-master one) i loved that thing, sonic 2 was my first game i think.... so yeaZitat:

Pong then atari 2600, i even pre-ordered pac man and defender way back in the day lol.
Game Boy Pocket.... The Tetris Attack game...
nes, california games
I started out on a NES purchased from the friendly neighborhood crackhead :)
NES, Duck hunt B!tch...
Atari 2600 @ the age of nine and been at it hardcore ever since.
you don't know whats up if you didn't start with the mac-daddy of em all .. dun dun dun atari qbert, pacman, donkey kong, oh yes... classics
i had a nes and played duck hunt but i really started on the GB
then snes, then ps2
the psp
oh and Frozen that game was Ecco the dolphin, which was so bad lol
I played the NES, but the first console I ever played on was the SNES... BUT, the first console I ever actually owned was Sega Genesis...
super mario world.
:D
Another one that started with Pong.
Then the 2600, my neighbor had an Intellivision, then my neighbor across the street got a Colecovision.
I then had an NES, then a Genesis, had a break for a bit then got an XBox and now a PSP and a GP32.
Ive been playin NES since I was like 4..... SNES was probably out at the time but thats all we had..... When I was like 6 we got the SNES... and thats when I really got into it.... Kirby Superstar, Donkey Kong.... it's all great..... I also remember getting an old gameboy when I was like 5..... It came with Tetris but that isnt exactly my kind of game.....
Here's one you don't see too often - PC! First game I played was Jill of the Jungle on my dad's old computer. It was a piece, but back than any computer was friggin' hard to get so I didn't care.
The second game I ever played was Doom. I loved it but it scared me (I was like 7).
I think I got an SNES after that, followed by a Sega Genesis, a Panasonic 3DO, a Game Boy, a Game Boy Pocket, an N64, a Game Boy Color, an XBox, a Game Boy Advance, a PS2, my own PC, a GameCube, and finally my good friend Mr. PSP.
So I've had thirteen game systems, if you count one of the PC's.
Man, I'm a dork, that's thousands of dollars if you include the games (of which there were many)...
Atari and NES increased it.
i started gaming really early in my life like 4-5 (even if i didnt know what i was doing.)but i was spoiled so i got many systems like NES,SNES,Genesis,GAMEGEAR ,N64,GB,GBP,GBC,GBA,GBAsp ,NDS,PS1,PS2,XBOX,GAMECUB E,PSP. I system i always wanted but never got was a dreamcast. THANK god i'm a only child i love it. By the way the games that got me into gaming were metroid and this is funny but The Karate Kid.
Started playing games on the home Pong maching and shortly thereafter on the Atari 2600.
I don't feel old at all
First machine: Commodore 64 (not really a console, but video gaming nonetheless)
Then Amiga 500, the peak of video gaming as we know it.
Then SNES several years after it was released.
And know, everything Sony releases... I'm a sucker for playstations..
i still have dreams at night about playing atari 2600... i had every game on that system... haven't played it since i was 13, but still... and that was after it sat in a closet for four years... i dug it out cause i was sick of NES and SNES :pZitat:

Atari 2600, then a nes, sms, genesis, snes, tg16, Sega CDX, gamegear, saturn, PSX, N64, DC, ps2, xbox, gamecube, NDS, PSP. pretty much in that order. of all that stuff, I only have the xbox and psp now and a broken ps2 with a flip top somewhere around here.
the only system I regret is the NDS. the only system I wish I had but never got was the NeoGeo AES. (someday)
Don't know what the first game I ever played was but the first console I ever had was a nice and shiny Sega Mega Drive with copies of Sonic and Ghostbusters. It's still my favourite console of all time and I've got to get around to buying another one sometime soon.
Since that Mega Drive I've had:
2 GB Bricks
1 GBC
1 GBA
1 NDS
1 PSP
1 Mega CD
1 Sega 32X
1 Saturn
1 PSX
1 PS2
1 Xbox
1 GC
Numerous PCs
The Mega Drive will always be the greatest ever console for me, the Sonic and Streets of Rage series, them games alone make it great.
