NES, playing mario 1 for hours non stop. The atari didnt intrigue me.
Played SNES and NES, never really started until i got N64 because it was the first system my family got for me and my brothers, the other NES and SNES were my cousins
Odd thing is: My "poor" friends were playing video games before I did :(, usually you would expect the family with more money to do that, but my parents did not allow me to play video games much when i was a kid :(. Wish we had the money now to get stuff, I'm broke as it is :(
i was playing adventure.... forgot what system it was for though
Playstation :P My brother got me into it...
pong
yes im that old ;(
The first system I ever owned was a nes playing mario/duck hunt I played it for like the hole day.
atari 2600
i wasn't even school at the time but my parents played it with my aunts and unckes and that's how i got started.
i wanted to play games like Demon Attack,Pitfall, and Frogger.
didn't really get into it till the NES days with Super Mario/Duck Hunt and Super Mario bros 2 (which came out when i got the system along with the debut of Nintendo Power)
i give all the credit to nintendo's pro Wrestling game for getting me hooked.
my dad's friend's kid had the game and i could never beat him no matter what i tried.First game i ever bought.
I first played a NES, but it wasn't really mines, it was by big bro's. I loved that damn thing, though, I admit. The first system I actually owned was Sega Saturn. From there I was a game FREAK!!! But I got more heavily into games after the PlayStation was released and I got mine like two or so years after that.
^^^^^^
exactly the same as me,, but i became a game freak with the ps2
i've been playing NES since i was 4, playing like sesame street and stuff, and before that i barely remember the system but it was made by phillips and played on CDs i think....the controller was a giant yellow mouse....yup that was cool, haha
My first systems were the nes and the sms. I was pretty young and they were for my brother and me so i dont really remember which one we got first
When I was around 5, one of our neighbors gave us an Atari, but I don't remember much of it.
The first system I really remember was our NES. I remember many a moment with that system.
First time playing Super Mario Bros
Using those crappy Acclaim Wireless controllers and being killed by a Goomba
Getting pissed at that stupid Hammer Brother right before Bowser in 8-4 (and throwing a major fit (sue me, I was 5), which my parents had the nerve to put on tape
However, the pinnacle of my NES gaming was The Legend of Zelda (as you can probably tell by my name and avatar, I'm still a big fan of the series).
That game was fantastic. I'll never forget the day I finally beat the first quest (it took me 12 years to beat the 2nd, for reason's I'll explain).
All this fun ended on faithful afternoon. My two brothers were fighting over who's turn it was on Megaman 4 (which is probably the reason I dislike the game) and my dad got pissed. Next thing we know, the NES was hurled against the wall :( and it ceased to work.
We did get it replaced with an SNES (which sadly met the same fate), but no system will replace the impact that the NES had on me. Hell, that system alone is one of the biggest reason's I'm the person I am today.
i'm from the future, my first gaming system was the xbox portable, it was fun fragging n00bs in halo 5 at first until the damage simulation suit took out my left testicle.

My first system played was the NES when i was like 3 years old (so my parents say) and my first game on that system was "Gyromite".
My parents say i liked playing with it because we had that robot thing that helps you play the game :D
When i was able to fully understand the art of gaming i was about 5 years old and the game i enjoyed more than any other was the original Zelda..i finally beat that game this year, my NES saved game always got deleted cause someone always turned it off without holding the reset button :(
i started playing at 2 yrs old super mario bros nes
Yes my memory is that good
Sonic on the Mega Drive :D The Mega Drive belonged to my older brother, it's now sitting in a friend-of-the-family's closet, because he sold it to them for $100 in 1998. I should probably see if I can buy it back off them, for nostalgia's sake.
The first system I actually owned was the Game Boy. My parents bought that with Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land. I think I was 5 at the time.
I had an Atari ST computer that we got in 86. I was playing games before then, but the ST was way more advanced than nes and atari at the time. So I never owned a nes or sms. All my friends did and i loved playing it them. Ahh memories of Double Dragon, Mario, Blaster Master. I didn't own a console till the Genesis. Loved playing all the shooters especially M.U.S.H.A Gunstar Heroes and Thunder Force III. It all took off from there.
Playing with the good ol' Magnavox Odyssey when I was a young teen. Two dial pads and mats that you placed over the tv set to simulate a haunted house, hockey rink, etc. Hey, the system couldn't make the graphics, so you had to cut and paste :P
When the Atari VCS came out, I thought it was the best thing ever. I also picked up a Sears Telegames off brand because I could use a "light rifle" to shoot blocks on the screen.
In case you haven't realized yet, I've been playing games since they first came home... way back in the 70's. Now I'm an old 42 year old man who still can't get enough of them.
The oldest system I've had was the Turbografx-16.. then from there both 16-bit systems and so on..
the first system i ever played was the nes and game boy, then sega, snes, gbc, after that playstation, n64,gba,ps2 then skipped straight to the next gen console ,PSP :)
Sega Genesis
The Atari 2600 started out this whole thing for me
I started playing the NES when I was 2 back in '88 so ya. I grew up on that stuff. My fav game is still Techmo Super Bowl for the NES. It beat EVERY PS2 and Xbox game ever made. PC games too. It's my FAVORITE! :D
for me it was the tandy 1000 in like 1981 or 2. i sat there for half the day while my pop typed in a galaga clone into the computer from one of those magazines from back in the day then saved it to the tape recorder. it took forever to load. that was the only game i had for it becuase he didn't want to waste his time typing in another game for me. then it was the c64 next.
Nintendo...aaaa those were the days! Tetris,Super Mario Bros 3, Punch Out, Skate or Die 2, paperboy.... oh man they rock..... then it was a genesis. Street Fighter 2 , Mortal Kombat, Road Rash,Bubsy,Art of fighting, Streets of rage, NBA Jam......then N64 Goldeneye (Sweet back then) , Mystical Ninja,WCW Vs NWO, Super Mario 64 (AWESOME) ,Super Smash Bros.....
Then a PS ... TEKKEN TEKKEN TEKKEN!!111 My god that game was awesome, mainly Tekken 2. FFVII , Gran Turismo, Mortal Kombat Trilogy (AWESOME), Metal Gear Solid (SNAAAAAAAAKEE) , Then it was a PS2 The GTA Series ( dont need to explain :) ) , Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Devil May Cry Series, Max Payne....... then the PSP Metal Gear acid (pretty cool game , it gets boring after a while ) A ****load of Oldskool roms at the touch of a button= Priceless.
