Default Slow SNES roms.

I have the GTA eloader ect. For some reason some roms slow down as they are playing. Like the beginning of chrono trigger, and super mario RPG. Any SNES emulators that dont slow down?

Super Mario RPG runs slow on any emu on PSP because it has some extra hardware in its cartidge and that makes it a bit more difficult to emulate.

mario rpg like starfox and others uses the super fx chip so it takes more juice to emulate and it apperes that u will need ful kernal access on te psp to even get close

i wish i could just plug my snes games streaghtintop the memory stick and play

no it's because the snes emu that works on 2.0+ is horribly slow for games like chrono trigger and mario rpg. sorry you lucked out.

changing the clockspeed on your cpu to a higher level is overclocking. the psp is set to 222 not 333. Thus, you oc it.

I've never had to go past 1 frameskip on those two games. (1.50 though)

The best way to increase speed on the snes emulators is to set the sound to off. Do not do emulated/no output, but off completely. True this does get rid of that cool noise mario rpg makes when you get a timed hit, but the boost in speed more than makes up for it.
