I've tried almost every version of the SNES emulators out there for the PSP, and not even one ran Yoshi's Island/Super Mario World 2. Why is this? Is it possible to run this rom or what?

Are the emus even fast enough to handle the game?

Try SnesTYL. No emulator yet can run Yoshi's Island perfectly yet.

yea i love tht game i still have my snes so i am still playing it and when rev i am going to get it to

It seems to run ok on mine. I have the Snes9x for PSP 2.6.

It seems to work fine in my 1.5 PSP with these settings in SNES 9x TYL 0.3 me:

266 CPU Clock
Frameskip 1-2
Vsync off
Smooth emulation on
sound on
44 Mhz sound
screen calibrated to full

But there are some slowdowns however, unless that is you overclocked the cpu clock to 333.(which will kill the battery life)

changing the psp clock speed to 333 is not overclocking it because the processor is designed to run that spped
