Default Pokemon Gold or Crystal: Clock Questions

Ok, I rented Pokemon Gold when I was a kid, but never finished it, so I'd like to make up for it by either playing Pokemon Gold or Crystal (assuming Crystal is just the Yellow as Red and Blue is to Gold and Silver), but I was curious as to how the clock is going to function properly. Is there a feature in Rin that relays the actual time to the rom, like on PC emus, or is it just going to always be wrong since it's based on an internal battery. Do I need some kind of hacked version of this rom to allow me to change the time every time I start playing, or is there a possibility of Homer adding real-time support to Rin?

Awesome. Now, which one would you reccomend before I get started, Crystal or Gold? I've already played half of Gold, so I'm familiar with it and it's nostalgic for me, but if Crystal has any better features or a better selection of Pokemon, I'd like to go on with it instead.

I like the way you said you rented it when you were a kid like it was 10+ years ago. Good cover... A few years ago hardly counts towards nostalgia.

Im a girl named Death in Crystal, crystal has all the pokemon from both Gold and silver in it, and there is a slightly different storyline with the legendary pokemon, your after the dogs instead of the birds. Crystal is better, but I'm playing yellow right now!

Ok, I did some looking around and found out the main differences between Gold and Crystal, and while I think just knowing I was playing Gold again would have been slightly more satisfying, I'm pretty sure I'll get over it, because this game has ALL the pokemon from Gold and Silver, and an opportunity to catch Suicune that isn't in the other two.

I don`t have homer`s rin, I have an older one. But it keeps time on it (Pokemon Crystal) just fine When I play at 10 pm on Friday its 10 pm on Friday in the game. I never had a problem with it. I did notice tho that if you changed the time and date on the PSP it`d change it on the ROM too. Great for makin Togetic.

You'd think that a high-tech modern PSP would be able to emulate a crappy little GBC in real time...
