*Unofficial* GBA Rom Compatibility List

Hey guys, I just wanted to start a compatibility list for the GBA emulator. I have version 2.6 so my results should be pretty accurate between all other versions. I will keep this updated daily.If you would like me to test any Roms just post here or PM me.

Games That Have Been Tested That Worked:
Zelda- Minish Cap ( Runs excellent, no sound though)
Tekken- Advance ( Runs a little choppy, good nonetheles, there is sound but its horrible)
Kirby - The Amazing Mirror( Runs great, weird sound)
Golden Sun ( Runs Near Perfect, awful sound )
Advance Wars 2 ( Excellent , no sound)
Final Fantasy Tactics ( Runs good)
Sonic Advance ( Works Smoothly, no sound)
Sonic Advance 2 (Runs half the normal speed, no sound yet again)
Bomberman Tournament (runs well but it is very slow)
The Legacy of Goku II (runs pretty well, decent speed)
Metroid Zero ( Runs at about 6 to 7 frameskip, no save)
Metroid Fusion (Same as Metroid Zero
Midway arcade Classics ( Wow, just wow, one of the smoothest running GBA Roms out there, check it out if you have time)
Army Men Advance ( Runs Okay at about 4-5 frameskip)




Games That Have Been Tested That Do Not Work:
Pokemon Chaos Black ( White Screen)
Super Mario Kart ( Plays menu, then goes blank)
Mario and Luigi - Superstar Saga ( Menu Works, plays opening cinematics, then goes black)

Games That Have Been Tested That Work, But Not Really Worth Playing Due to How Slow, or How Boring It Would Be Without Saving:
GTA Advance ( Not worth running, way too slow)
Final Fantasy 1 & 2 Dawn of Souls ( Runs good, no sound, not really worth playing since you can't save)
Pokemon Emerald ( Runs EXTREMELY choppy, definetley not worth playing)
Pokemon FireRed ( Runs Like Emerald)
Pokemon LeafGreen (Same As Emerald)
Metal Slug Advance ( About 1/3 of the normal speed, not that great, loses the Metal Slug *Feel*)
Super Mario Advance (runs pretty slow and it's not really playable)
Earthworm Jim ( Way too slow, and too laggy)

Games Im Testing Today:
Starting from numbers 2010- 2100.

Final Fantasy Tactics works ok, but little slow

The only problem I see is that When I try to save, the Emulator crashes, so a lot of games wont be worth playing without saving, such as Zelda, Golden Sun, Final Fantasy etc..

Both Golden Suns work very well with 1 or 2 frameskip on. Sound sucks though.

I found final fantasy advanced really slow...not playable..it took a min for someone to throw a snowball in the beginning...

if any pacman fans out there I can say that they run at a decent speed..

I am downloading 65 Roms right now, gonna take me a while to test all of em.

Advance Wars 2 ( Excellent , no sound)

It's about half speed actually, but being a turn based game it doesnt hurt much.

All MegaMan Battle Network games work the same: No sound, less than half speed, and pretty much enjoyable for about a minute before you fall asleep

wait whats your definiton of great for golden sun?i dont mind running it without sound but is it fullspeed?btw what emu you usin im a 1.5.........

I believe you can save with FW 1.5 just fine.

Yes I just checked and I can successfuly save and load an Advance Wars game.

I don't think any games run at full speed.

Final Fantasy Tactics - Runs very slow
Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls - Runs but is slow (of course) is playable
Sonic Advance 2 - Runs slow not playable to an extent
Advance Wars - Runs slow but is playable
Advance Wars 2 - Runs slow but is playable

In all honesty, don`t even bother with GBA emulators now. They are hardly something to get hyped about. (No offense to the coders, of course)

F-Zero Maximum Velocity runs very slow, not playable.

KK I just got back, from a party W00t. I just tried Metal Slug, it works About 1/3 of the Speed, not very fun to play, loses the Metal Slug *Feel*

Metroid Zero and Metroid Fusion run and at about frameskip 6 or 7. works but can't save

I tried Legacy of Goku 1 & 2, and it loaded a screen that said something about it not being the right hardware.

What firmware do you have? Are you using the Eloader? What GBA emultor are you using?
