Battle System in Tales of Phantasia...
I would really like the battle system if the main character wouldn't keep running back to his partner. I want to finish off an enemy quickly but I keep running back to my partner. Is there a way to turn this off or do I just have to deal with this?

Well, I know that whenever you attack, you run back to where you began. So run over towards the enemy, and then attack. I'm sure someone else has other better recommendations, because I'm only half-way through this game.

Yeah if he starts to run back, just walk over, then hit him all the time from close by.
Altho this isnt the best way to play :)
ps: Isnt tales of eternia japan only? Or is there a translated version available?

Please don't say "dejap version"... They (The group dejap) have had so much trouble with people coming to their forums asking them to "dejap" stuff, like the word "dejap" is a verb och adjective..

As for the validity of the post, you are absolutely correct, there is a translated version done by Dejap. :)

Doesn't really matter since Dejap is basically dead.
