.7z?
I found a site with roms to the file extension .7z, will these really work on any emulators?
Also, this is a bit off topic but what is the best way to exit homebrew? Ive tried pressing the menu button only for the psp to freeze (when i then have to hold the power switch up for 10 seconds to turn off) and ive just tryed turning the psp off but then the green light blinks about 20 times before tunring off, is this healthy?(by homebrew standards lol)

.7z just means that it contains many different versions of the rom. they can range from hacked roms, japanese version, translation patches, etc. Yes, it does work on the emulators, just make sure you have the right one.
Home Button doesnt work on the eloader, this is a known problem.

If you have either the Brown Ale or the newest version of the eloader, all you need to do is press the START button to exit

Sorry but that answer is wrong. 7z (7 zip) is a type of compression format just like .rar or .zip (infact it's pretty much the best compression algorithm around). They won't play directly on the emu what you need to do is uncompress them, just like you would do with a .rar file and then you'll get your rom file.
Like pspmania was saying you may find that each 7zip archive has many different version of the same rom so find the one you want (the one with a ! and U after it should be the right one) and then stick that on your memory card (its probably best to zip that file first aswell).
To uncompress the archive download the latest version of Winrar from www.rarlabs.com
