GBA Emulator
Simple question - what type of rom file should be used with the GBA emulator? Is it a .gba file.
I am currently using the PSPGBA emulator with the GTA eloader, and I seem to be able to get the emulator to work. But it won't start any games - I am trying to get .gba files to work, but they just seem to go blank after 10 seconds.
Thanks

I've tried mario tennis which is a .gbc file and I've tried a couple of the pokemon (emerald and chaos black) which are .gba files.
Zitat von vanden9
None of them seem to work - do you know any that do work so I can test?
Thanks

ok dude I think you should keep the gbc and gb on HomersRin
and for the GBA I ran:
Star Wars 3 - works fine
Dynasty warriors - works fine but little slow
Tony Hawks Underground 2 - work fine but still slow
naruto ninja council - works fine and no lag but just a frame skip
metal slug advanced - works ok but not too fast
and advice to you is 16mb and higher does not work some 16mb may work but have not tried them all so 16 and lower wil work for sure but I don't know about speed

GBA emulator help pls!!!
hello. i'm kind of a newbie in this sort of homebrews, eloaders, emulators and stuff. I'm also using the Biere d'Alsace eloader (gta) since i got the 2.5 firmware. The problem is, i can't seem to make the PSPGBA_1_1.zip file to work on the emulator. I had unzipped it and out came another zip file -- pspgba_v1.1_src.zip. I had unzipped this file and copied the contents to PSP\GAME folder. But when used the eloader, it can't seem to find/detect my emulator. Need help please... sob!

the pspgba_v1.1_src.zip folder has nothing to do with running the emulator, it is only used for developers who know what they are doing.you should download the file from here:
http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-b...,1,0,0,42,1611
extract it to your memory stick.it will work fine

It's pretty unstable and you can't save anyway, so I'd stick with v 1.1

yup. the emulator worked. but like what the others have said, its kinda on the slow side, super choppy sounds and you can't save. all the roms i uploaded worked but they're slow as snails.. rpgs are doable since you don't need fast framerates but the downside is you can't save. btw, i'm using the version 1.1 and what does the state save do? everytime i use this function my PSP just shuts down. :icon_sad:

It saves the game at what ever point you want it to, for example if your about to face a boss you can save it before you fight and you will be able to load your game from that point. Another example is if someone is calling you and you need to put your psp down but there is no save point in the game itself you can use the state save option put your game down and when you come back to your game just go to the state load and you will continue your game from where you did your state save but ofcorse thats when it does not shut down your psp. I hope that helps you
