just for fun, i thought we could discuss this "phenomenon".

i had the theme from Karnov in my brain for years (about 20, i'd say...). it wasn't until emulation came along that i actually remembered where the tune was from!! it was something of an epiphany...

has anyone else experienced this?

It's gotta be Halo, although i played that much Sonic when i was little that that tune is now embedded in my brain and plays constantly, even when i sleep, i think................

... the pokemon theme song from the red/blue versions i know it sounds whack but i had very hard times sleeping and concentrating cause that theme was in my head haha

Of course Mario and Zelda, but a song that will be stuck in my head forever is the ICO Ending Theme. I doubt that there will be ever a game like this again.

it seems like all the songs stuck in my head are from the NES/Master System/SNES/Genesis era.

newer games' songs just don't seem to have the "catchiness" of the old school ones...

As gay as it sounds, the 2 songs that get stuck most in my head are the songs from "Kingdom Hearts' Simple and Clean" and MGS3..."snake eater"

those damn songs just jamed themselves into my head so much that I had to download them from the net and put them on my PSP.

lets just say neither song is safe to show your friends and still have your dignity intact afterwards.

The music to Commodore 64's Commando and Boulder Dash are something I can vividly remember today, also the intro to the coin-op Pac man springs to mind (I guess the same tune was present in many, many, many other versions of Pac man too).
