RIN Pokemon Clock Problem
Quick question.
I read on some other thread that there is a issue with the clock and Pokemon.
I have completed Pokemon Yellow but not Gold/Silver or Crystal.
What exactly is the problem with the clock/timer?

Just that the cartridge has a battery in it that keeps the actual time, and when you use savestates with RIN that won't work.

Yea, but I'm not sure if that actually gets saved. To me, save states are more convenient anyways...

Will it be dark at night and light during the day?

From my experience, the emulator thinks that the battery in the "cartridge" of the rom is dead...so it's useless. Sorry...

Yes, and in every single other application used on the PSP. VRAM means Video Random Access Memory and that is baseically the "3d Card" in the PSP. I don't really understand by what you mean by saying "is it in RIN" but I assume RIN uses some of the Video Memory to emulate the GB/GBC system.
I also assume that you want to know why the clock doesn't work properly on Pokemon Gold, Sliver, and Crystal on RIN. The reason is on the acual cartridges that are used in a real consoles, there is an onboard clock system that the game uses to define what time it is while playing the game. I'm guessing that RIN can't emulate that device, because RIN would have to (in theory) be running at all times, just as the timing chip on the Pokemon GB carts are.

Clock works for me. with Savestates too. There just needs to be one actual save using the game "Save" feature in-game and it works. For me at least.

I just let it sit in sleep mode for 1 hour and checked it, And the clock was the same as my Computer clock.
And i asked about the vRAM because i thought it was other term used in the emulator. I didnt know it was the save as a video card.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it works, because a while back, when Homer was updating the RIN, there were complaints about Gold/Silver/Crystal not working properly... so he fixed it... not exactly sure how, but I'm guessing it takes the time from your PSP...
