Well as another thread was talked about here there are legal ISOs as well. There was the homebrew made in ISO form and there are demos. Also 99% of talk in here isnt about PD roms

You can talk about the Games all you want... ROM installation happens to be the same for illegal roms and legal roms..

As for the legal ISOs, there are none! Even if they are demos, they are still illegal.

Well another mod here said they are allowed, and reopened the thread talking about them and allowed to be posted, while ISO discussion immediately gets closed while the installation is the same for legit and nonlegit ISOs. Personally I am against ISOs, but Im curious as to why Roms are allowed to be discussed

If you type something like dsjghilshadlgjkishkshdlig jkesbruibsldiubgisudhgdsu ighasdo in WORD and make it .iso, it is not illegal! Then I'll load that ISO I created in ISOLOADER and it will not work Just a joke, mate.

Anyway if ISO is illegal, then why dl.qj.net have isoloader if you said all ISO are illegal?

Well, we have the ultimate say, we allow what we want. Whatever that mod did, doesn't reflect the site's beliefs..

I relize that, but why would a demo ISO be illegal. It is not sold, so it is not like anything is being stolen. I guess I am a little confused on the whole concept, but I would think that roms would be the sameway, as the mose common use is for illegal rom loading

A) The demo download is an illegal rip....
B) ROMS may have illegal uses, but they have several legal uses.

Our word may seem contradictory, but we do not care!

The demo is beneficial to the game developer as it advertise to consumers to convince them to buy the game. It'll be unlikely if they are gonna prosecute you.

Come on, mate, ISO is just a file extension and/or a CD image. I don't see why it is so forbidden, if the contents of the ISO isn't copyrighted or violate someone, I'd say it's ok to discuss ISO openly.

It's a valid point, but ISO's in relation to PSP usually means a game rip.

...ISO!!!... Did that scare you? Make you jump? Lol. Isos should be allowed to be discussed openly, just no links. Talking about something isnt illegal. Actually doing it is another thing.

They're not. They just don't want piracy on THEIR site, especially piracy of very new games that are losing money off the deal. Not to mention they could get shut down for having anything like that on the site. As for ROMs, there are no links to ROMs here either, it's just that discussion is allowed in that one forum of which ROms work in emulators better, etc. This is so it can be minimized to only that part of the site and not talked about all over the forum.

Of course. I would agree that PSPU shouldnt have them on the site. PSPU isnt perfectly legal either. Triple triad, Decent, ect. But considering I'm from PSPCrazy, you must realize I have this much concern about pirating ISOs: ||

I mean if you want this Quick Journal site to discuss ISO openly, I don't see a point. You can go to other site that'll let you talk about it freely. The reason why we should discuss about it on QJ is because it is a very good and organized site for PSP discussion, as a matter of fact, people may wonder why it is so forbidden so that they will try and make a counterpoint, like this thread, and it's growing hot.

ROMS = BILLIONS OF FREE ROMS AND REMAKES AND HOMEBERW FOR GBA AND SNES AND NES

ISOS = PS1 (NOT AVALIABLE) AND PSP (AVALIABLE) AND ALSO AND ISO's NEED ISO LOADERS WHICH CAN BE USED TO PLAY ILLEGAL GAMES. AND ARE MEANLY USED TO PLAY THEM ( SORRY BOUT CAPS)

You know whats the real problem? When sites try at all's end to make their site 100% legal and moral. I believe PSPupdates can get a big group of new users if they allowed ISO discussion. Just a suggestion though
