im runnin the game on 2.6 with the snestyl_0.4 and the screen will go black after about 15-20 mins. It mostly happens when I enter a new area and the background changes. Is it the rom or the snestyl?

You can try a different ROM dump and it may help, but before you do that, try to change the setting on the graphics and see if that corrects anything.
