Default mario rpg problem

ive posted this problem before and i did get a response to change the rom

the problem was the screen goes black after i incounter a enemy or enter a town

ive changed the rom 3 times and get the same problem in a different place...roughly around mushroom kingdom and bandits way

i was told its not the emulator....(which is snes tyl standard 0.4.2

is there something in the emulator settings that i can adjust? or is it just the roms still?

Its the rom
I have the same problem.
Funny, the paper mario ROM is glitchy too. Does Mario not like being ripped or something?

For some reason I dont get that problem when I use Snes9x on my computer, but it gives me problems on the PSP. It has to be something in the ROM that the emulator has issues with.

My super mario rpg rom has no defects unless you add the expected slow downs here and there, but it can be fixed with increasing the cpu clock...

however with your problem, it is quite common, find another rom, keep doing it, if it doesnt work in any roms you downloaded of the same game, you can:

1. Not play that game on PSP
2. Go back to an older version of the SNES 9x TYL Emulator.
3. Wait for a new release of the emulator

changing the graphics engine to psp accel+accur should fix the problem, it's the same for every game that does that

the up the framerate because the speed will go down

or boost the cpu clock up to at least 266, would be fine as well, and the occasional frameskip of 1 with it, should give you close to perfect gameplay experience.

nope it's the GPU settings not the firmware. use psp+accurate like they said, on 333mhz. mario rpg is quite heavy for a snes game.
