Super Mario RPG for me on 1.50 w/ SnesxTYL 0.4.2ME, works perfectly. I did not even fiddle with the setting one bit. Have you tried a different rom?

it's been posted time and time again. This game will probably never be fully playable just like kirby's dreamland 3.

I use 1.50, 0.2c I think it is, Frameskip is at 2 I think for my general playing, works fine. =)

Only Mario Kart seems to be sluggish.

make sure your rom has (!) its the best type of rom. and it has (U) or (E). Unless you can read any other language

Well for me these games are sluggish:

Super Mario RPG
Kirby's Dreamland 3
Kirby's Super Star

and for some weird reason:
Donkey Kong Country 1

DKC1 always worked for me in the past emulators fast, but not in the latest one. Maybe they will eventually find a way to get past this problem, but it doesnt seem like anytime soon though.

Also, the best settings i find for Super Mario RPG are:

333 Mhz CPU CLOCK
1-2 frames per second

Even 333 cpu clock, DKC1 played horrible...weird...

In the thread about the latest release, the one I posted on, ppl made comments about it and that until it was fixed.. was better to stick with .2c on 1.50

there's no point anymore using older snestyl versions, .42 is the fastest and most compatible.. mariorpg is just not gonna be fullspeed on whichever emu u use
get your info straight guys, memory problems were in .40 that created bad savestates. that problem is FIXED in .42, but those savestates made with .40 will have to be remade or deleted.
also, eloader .97 wont give u 333mhz due to wifi requirements, however .96 will. (in .97 use 300mhz)

It may just be me but I find that 300 MHZ is the best for FPS, better than 333 MHZ.

Can I just copy the files over my .2c and it still have the same setup? Or will i need to fresh install it and manually bring my saves over again.

SMRPG work great in v 4.2.

I have found 4.2 to work much better than .2c in many ways.

As for the savestates... if they don't work, load them in SNES9x on your PC (Not Zsnes as it has a diff savegame extenstion). Then save your game and transfer that savegame file to your PSP.

It should work flawlessly that way.

Oh yeah... when using 4.2 GUI, don't use the background music option... sometimes causes ingame problems... not sure if this was fixed yet.

Just copy over the EBOOT.php file, keep the "Roms" and "Save" folders.

Overwrite everything else and delete your old profile configurations.

I got Mario RPG to run pretty well on my 2.6, however, when the game begins, and you literally fall into your house onto a coat-hanger, the game just freezes.

it could either be:

1. The Firmware version

2. Eboot loader

3. Emulator

4. (WHICH IS THE MOST COMMON) The rom itself, get another rom
