I got lots of emus on my 1gig.
But I like to swap the roms and emus, not put them all at once. That's because I like to put videos on my PSP too.

I have yet to get my USB cables but I plan on it soon to get started on getting some homebrew going. I'm having trouble finding ROMs though.
Do you need a certain program to put music/videos on your psp? I figured software would come with the cables but aparently I'm an idiot

I use a 512mb card and I can fit everything I need onto it, eg. music, episodes of Chappelle's Show, and about 3 emulators with 5 games each.

PSPvideo9 to put videos on, and you can drag and drop MP3's onto the PSP.
Rom's aren't on this site, but google has lots of them sites.
I have a 1GB stick, and I have had no problem filling it. I have a copy of KX, PBP in a folder called programs so I can do any work on my PSP at a friends house and I have all my music and games aswell as a few movies and lots of emu's.

Sodo you think I could fit at least 3 emulators maybe 10 games each, a few movies, alot of songs and still have a decent amount of space on a 512?

No software needed for music. Drag mp3s or atracs. For vids, google pspvideo9.

just for emulators, a 20 dollar 128 should do. It has for me. However, videos and music take up a bit of space, plus as better emulators come out, the size of roms will increase, so you may want to save up your money.

Why would you carry porn with you? Do you get bored down the back of the bus or something? :shifty:

ha, well I got my psp in may and I still havent gotten around to dishing out the money for a new ms (32 mb SUCKS!) so for now I have enough room for the few emulators and roms I use, I mean, I dont need a ton of roms at once because I usually just play a game for a while (til i get bored or beat it) but I would really like 1 gb mainly for music (i'm a music fanatic and would have a hard time with 1 gb, but its better than 32 mb) so if you just have a few emu's and a few roms you're good with a 32, lol

The 32mb stick is worthless for anything other than game saves. Its slower compared to sandisk sticks.
256 is good for me now with 94MB's left. Next will be a 512m or a 1g if i find one for $100. But I'm keepig media and gaming separate.

@labounti I've seen tons of 1 gb sandisks on ebay for less than $100, I would try there

I have a Sandisk 512MB Card and I have never had less that 100mb free space/ Currently I have 32 mp3s at 192kbs, the dead pixel fixer video (stupid tihng didn't work), and the following home brew:
Chess
Sega Master System Emulator (about 25 roms atm)
Snake
Solitare
Super Nintendo Emulator (3 roms)
I also have about 12 savedgames/ghost races and the two WipEout Pure expansion packs.
I currently have 122MB free space.
Also I wouldn't bother wasting money on high speed cards, even if the psp did support it, form my experince with them (very little use in sony cybershot cameras) they are not worth the extra ~$60-80AUD they ask for.

07-13-2005, 07:33 PM #25
I'm also using a Sandisk 512mb card, and here's what I know it'll hold
about 6 albums (avg. size 75mb)
OR
5 emu's with about 40-50 roms each
I'm not too sure about videos and such, but an average 30 min. show is around 80-90 megs so maybe about 4-5 shows.

512 MS is more then good enough for the moment . You can hold a crap load of roms and emulators/homebrew as well as other files on a 512 . I *personaly* wouldn't get one larger then this . Because , soon *fingers crossd* we can just use a portable harddrive .
