    Standard Snes9xTYL v0.4.2 Sound Issue

    Having a problem with the sound in Snes9xTYL, I'm trying to play Donkey Kong Country (only ROM I've tried) and when I do a Save State all is well, but when I do a Load State, the sound stops working for that level, and I have to wait till I change levels for the sound to come back on. Anyone know if that is a known problem or how to fix it???

    Yes I have the same problem. The only way I have found too fix the problem is to load the save state and then save the game using the actual on game save and load it back up from there. Or after loading the save state make the game load a new area on the screen, as in move your character to where the game goes to a black screen and then loads up a new area of the game.

    Which game did you try? On my Super Mario World rom i cant seem to get any sound back by trying what you suggested and other stuff...

    When I change levels etc the sound comes back. Or when I die etc. I'm playing Donkey Kong Country. Do the devs have any intention to fix it?

    I was playing Secret of Evermore when I noticed the sound glitches. I didnt have this problem using the exact same emu on the eLoader though. The game your playing must not actually load anything new to make the sound kick back on. Sorry I dont know.

    The reason for this is like in flash animation. EX. The music starts at frame 1 and ends at frame 5 but when you load up your save your not starting on exactly frame 1 your starting on a frame after it. So the ROM never told it to start the sound. There is no way around this unless you use the in game save.Hope i could help.

    I've had the same issue with the lastest TYL when I saved and loaded games, however when you import your old savestates from a previous version of TYL, the sound seems to work fine even ater you save/load.
