vba 1.0.5 already supported pokemon
and seeing how most roms run at a decent speed, pokemon probably does too
peaple should do a fps list :-)

Fire Red is really slow but Ruby runs great ! It is about 95 % compared to the real game but it is amazing ! Things can only get better since the next release will be kernel mode !

Skip Frame: 3
Turbo Mode: 2
Clock Freq: 333
ARM Tick: 5
pokemon firered, leafgreen and pokemon emereld are not working with any gba emulator on psp i guess. but why not?
make sure you have a patched rom
and have vbapsp 1.0.5 or higher since its fixed at that version
Pokemon works for me, look in the configuration thread for my settings, but pokemon fire red runs at maybe 3-4 fps, it seems slow, but there are tricks in the emu to make it run smoother but faster.
Need For Speed Most Wanted. It said 90% and the framerate was 8. Damn, the GBA game lagged HORRIBLY!
I don't like any of the newer Pokemon games. I only like Gold,Silver,Red and Blue. I have all the ROMS, but no original games. But I have owned at least 2 of each copy at one time or another. I've gone through 4 Red Versions!

It still runs laggy with the settings, at least its better than the old gba emlators, you shold just wait for a speed update or something.
