i saw a hack called pokemon brown that looked really good the whole game was redone.
wow, you guys are tottaly off-topic. i'm talking about hacked roms. not cheats, not gameshark, not glitches. i was downloaded pokemon brown, but for some reason it didn't work.... apparentley, brown is the legend of pokemon (ROM!) hacks..... anyways, the one that the guy was talking about (the one with oaks horney balls) sounds pretty cool, couldya tell me the name? please?

Missingno, is the best glitch i know of, somehow my friend had Togepi in yellow version, he sai dhe beat the elite 4 150 times or something.

i was bored so i tried to find some good hacks/glitches and i ran into that, sounds kina tight if you ask me.
Go tho Pokecommunity.com and you can get tools to create your own hacks. I suggest Hack-o-Matic and Poke Text v.1.00.
BTW- The_Raider_Nation, if you download Hack-o-Matic you will find out why there is a "glitch city". It's something to do with random rooms and such in the game that aren't supposed to be used, but in a certain glitches you are transported there.
I tried to use the IPX tool or whatever its called on my pokemon red rom, and it didn't work. It came out the same size, and all it did was change the extension to .bak. Can someone please give me a detailed walkthrough on how to obtain a playable pokemon brown rom? Thanks!

Same reason Sony patches things in firmwares - it's a glitch, and therefore is a malfunction.
Oh, and I misread your post as well. As stated on page...2? Or maybe on 3... whatever..., Mew is catchable by doing this:

Mew is too powerful so it needs to be limited in numbers.
The rarest pokemon now days is probably Deoxys, which is really broken. It was given away only at the Houston Space Center for a month.

Lie. In my red version when I caught mew with gameshark @ level 2 and raised it all the way to level 100 with no rare candies, and faced it against a Mew2 I raised from 70 to 100 with no rare candies, mew2 beat the living sh*t out of Mew every time.Zitat:

I never realized how easy it is to create a Pokemon hack. These are the tools I use, very easy.
Hack-o-Matic: Use for editing Pokemon and Attacks
Poke Text: Used for editing text in the games
Gold Map: Editing Map
Pokemon Gold Sprite Editor: Self Explainitory
Note: These are all for Gold/Silver/Crystal. There's also a tool to edit the title screen but all the links I found are broken. Post it here if you find one.
