Can Anyone get Mortal Kombat 1 to work on Dgen 1.60?

Ive tried 4 differant roms of MK1 on Dgen but none of them work. heres the problem. the rom loads p fine and everything, but the buttons dont work! its as if the controller has been unplugged from the genesis or something. Hitting L still takes me to the menu and all that crap but in game, nothing works.

Lol just do Mortal Kombat 3, its a better game, and runs really good.

its works fine for me maybe redownload DGEN and try it...or try a different version

try it on the snes if u cant get it to work.

same thing happened to me u probably had a bad rom. just try to find another rom. or use the snes one, thats what i did. its beter because you can sorta do more and the combos are easier to pull off

you kids apparently didnt grow up in the 90s.

The 1st mortal kombat, either genesis or arcade. the SNES version was not good. it was censored, had no blood, and nearly all of the fatalites were removed for cleaner ones. The genesis Version allowed blood via the blood code (A,B,A,C,A,B,B) and made the game much better. The Arcade wersion is actually the best, but the MAME emu isnt very functional, so thats a no go.

MK2+ are on SNES as nintendo learned their lesson that a censored MK doesnt sell thus added blood, but for the original MK, its either genesis or none
