Pokemon GBA

Hi, i started using the new GBA emulator from zx and none of my pokemon roms work... when i load them i get a white or yellow screen...
Ive tried ruby, emerald, saphire, leaf green and fire red... all my other mario ones work...

Any ideas?

are your ROMs zipped? EDIT: because i think theres a size limit (i think u cant have ROMs bigger than 16MB)

and what sizes are they?

also, are they .gba file extensions?

They are GBA, ive tried zipped and non zipped, and they are 16mb when unzipped.

you need the one of the last 3 releases and an japanese or english rom or a fixed one;) pm me ;)

but the games ar not working so well so forget it

maybe u have the wrong ROMS

make sure they have a [!] at the end (i think that means its working perfectly)

As stated above, you most likely have a bad dump. All of mine look perfectly. Make sure the roms have a [!] at the end meaning that they are the best possible dump.

I have ruby working fine with the new vba, and my old save states are compatible.

I have changed the name to default so it loads Pokemon on booting if that makes any difference what-so-ever

the (U) stands for UNited states i think and the (E) for europe

at least thats how ive always interepted them

i thought the e was for english and the j was for japanese g for german f for french. thats usually how it works when i download roms

E is Europe, G is German, J is Japan, U is United States.

to clear it up....
to play the gba pokemon games with an emulator you must change the settings in save type to EEPROM and Flash 128k...



but you can't do that on psp so you can't play pokemon

your wrong my friend i can play pokemon fire red and leaf green and emerald on my psp just not ruby and sapphire so that isnt the reason. its a bad rom. u ust have to keep searching for a good rom that works. i hope i dont get banned but if u pm me with your email i will send you a link with the three working roms i have

I also had the problem on my pc...( I had a white screen as I wanted to play any GBA Pokemon Version)
But as I changed the settings they ran...
can you explain that???
But I was running german roms...english roms ran without changing settings

Its not a bad ROM, just earlier rips of those games needed fixes for their save types, which were fixed in later dumps. Try lookig for any version of those games above 1.1

You need an IPS patch, the game rom you downloaded should come with a .ips file, and you need to patch it on with IPS Win
