I was playing this game for a little bit the other day, first time ever playing it since I haven't played it on snes back in the day... I had a question though... are you supposed to have the world map from the beginning or do you have to buy it somewhere?

I entered a dungeon and I found the map and the x button (triangle on psp) works in dungeons, but when I'm outside and hit x it goes to a blank screen, and if I hit it again it goes back to normal...

I tried this with a few different roms, english german etc, but they all seem to do this so I was wondering if someone could just let me know if it was my rom or you dont have the map right away...

the map you found would have been the dungeon map for te dungeon.. I am pretty certain that you get the map at the start.. I will have a look just now but someone else may confirm of deny what i said

Do you mean you get the map when you start the game? Because I haven't in any of the roms I tried, like 6... or do you have to find it or buy it somewhere else?

Either you have it from the start, or the old man gives it to you, because I didn't play that far into it and I had the map.

If you're using snes9x_TYL, in game, go to the map, hold L and press start until the map displays correctly. The emulator has different rendering settings.

Yes, you start out with a full map (except in dungeons).
