Supposing you're talking about Medina village, they're not -- in fact nowhere near it. He's just selling things at extremely inflated prices because you're a dirty, dirty human (just looking on GameFAQs, you can get the Iron Blade at the Millenial Fair for 350gp, while he charges 29400gp for it). As far as I can remember, the best weapons in the game are earned, not bought, and won't show up for a long while.

hmm well i didnt really want to cheat, but im almost ready to kill the boss at the end.(the giant meatball thing)

Haha there's no way that you could kill it tht early in the game... and that's kind of an optional boss, you get an alternate ending if you beat him.

o really, my charicters are like lvl17, i have yet to beat the fat oaf monster in the cave, and thats how far i got on mr. meatball to the fat cave oaf. i coulda kicked his *** if i didnt get board.(was playing crono for like 5 hrs stright)

my suggestion would be to delete that game and stop being a squaresoft sheep.

Yah, just keep playing it through. The extra quests the old man gives you will let you get the best weapons in the game. Takes a bit of time, but well worth it. Like Chrono's Rainbow Sword.

i can't remember where i encountered them, but one type of enemy in that game drops hyper ethers on a pretty regular basis when you kill them - each one gets you 5000g when sold
