GPSP Speed wierdness!

Default GPSP Speed wierdness!

One time,i installed gpsp,then i played pokemon emerald,which
needed about a 2 frameskip,then i installed a different version of the
gpsp(dunno which one),then the speed of emerald was fine without frameskip.
WHat do guys think happened?

maybe you downloaded an old version before that needed the settings tweaked to be fast. i have 0.6 and emerald runs like a charm without tweaking

And,i still cant find the gpsp version that can play emerald without frameskip.

0.6! and your right. pokemon can save. always has been able to. well worked using gnuboy and pokemon crystal

I tried saving fire red on the new gpsp and it doesnt save it needs to eschange the memory.

Common logic would tell you that the better working version is the newer version. Few updates make emulation worse.

Okay, the question is "why do some versions of the same ROM run better than others?" The answer: because only some versions will work for the idle loop hacks I've added to game_config.txt. First, you've got to make sure you're using the USA version. Beyond that it's a matter of using the right one, although I think I added the save hacked one (that's not really that good, should add the proper 128K one)
