Problem With Pokemon Save

I have gpsp 0.7 and i was wondering if i could save pokemon games on it. i am using pokemon fire red. Please make it simple and easy since i am still fairly new to the homebrew thing. Thanks alot!

there shouldnt be a problem with saving pokemon games, i've been playing Pokemon Emerald for days, not a single problem with the saved file, infact i made a backup today, and even uploaded it in VBA on my pc, and back, and it works fine.

It saves fine, just don't go into the battle tent. It takes a REALLY(20 min) long time to save in there.

I think I have a crappy ROM. I dumped it myself, and I'm pretty sure I did it wrong

To answer your question vision, Pokemon Fire Red rom is a rom that needs to either be patched to save correctly or you need to change the setting of Gpsp to save 128kbs instead of the default.

its easier to change it to 128kbps than patching it

hi guys, sorry to dig up a old topic, as i find this using search.

can i know how do i use load the saved file from gPSP 0.7 using the VBA on my pc?

cause nintendo decided that no one outside of japan and new york can get a Mew, i have pretty much complete the game, just trying to collect all pokemon now.

so i figure the only way is too load it on VBA and enable the cheat then save and send the file back to my psp.

Yes you can, not savestate though, only normal save.

Pokemon in VBA on PC outputs a .sav file, put that instead of the save in gPSP, it should work if you haven't messed with any save options.

just put the damn save from gpsp emu into the folder/ or wherever vba loads your saves from.. make sure its named like your rom:rtfm:
