Basil Zero, I think I have an answer to your problem. Sony memory sticks just write really slow. I know this because I have the same brand of memory stick and it takes forever to save state with any emu. I figured it was an emulator problem, but I used my friend's sandisk memory stick and it saved MUCH faster, so it's pretty much just the sony brand MS thats making it save so slowly.

My 512MB Sandisk stick takes 2-3 seconds to save states, my 1GB Sony stick takes 30 seconds, nuff said?

thats weird, because it takes like 20 sec for my SNES roms to save, 1-5 for all my other emu
but Gpsp, i've waited like 5-6 min, and still no change

Probably a weird memory stick write glitch... and my 1G sandisk saves the savestates right after I choose to save, which I think does not take even 1 second. Only downside to that is I often write over important debugging save states without noticing... T_T

It's on the front page and it only fixes some sound and save states things, no major fixes implemented. It will still crash on some games and the speed will still be very slow on some. :P (3D games, mostly) Oh well... just wait for the next release, guys. ;) I guarantee the next release will blow your minds away. ;)
Edit: *cough* Here's a little WIP update... Summon Night games don't crash randomly in battle no more.Current status: testing random games.

Awww. And I thought it was going to be a major update. Oh well. I could live with long saves since that's my resting period hahaha. It feels like saving on a PS2 so I'm used to it.

Exo doesn't want to release it until most of the known bugs are completely squished so... it'll take a while.

Hardware flaw in your memsticks, IMO. It gets around it. Next version of gpSP will too.
