gpSP 0.8 compatibility

OMFG! How many times do I have to say this! Google search cos-bios.zip, click on the first search result, on the site you will see the file, download it and inside the zip file there will be 3 or 4 bios files, just rename the gba file gba_bios.bin and stick it in your gpsp folder. If you guys actually took the time to look like I did you would have found it...and here you guys are, you still can't find it and I basically gave you the link to it. Just do what I said and you'll have the genuine bios.

The genuine bios runs more games than the tainted version floating around. If a game doesn't work, don't hassle ********, just be patient and wait for the next release or better yet, try to find a soultion to the problem for yourself.

Is it just me or does Mario Vs DK not work at all. It wont even load for me.

And who here also has FFIV Advance work but the music right away is skipping and sounds staticy(at demo intro & new game).

ftw...not too long ago the site that was given when googling for cos-bios.zip worked but the link to the zip itself was LD....looks like it's up now...

Most of those games work zipped up, it dependes on how it was zipped up. There are 2 rom sites that I know of that you can download and play the zipped roms without messing with them. Most sites did something to the zip archive which makes it unplayable zipped up.

Lol, this is the case for me too, i was so confused when i found i could no longer roll, why on earth is this the case?

Is there by any chance a roll function reserved for Minish cap in the jap bios? :)

I recall being able to roll in my copy of minish cap long ago, then again i did not play much, and i might be thinking about playing it on PC afterwards. Meh.

This problem does not occur if you play the mm levels in VBA on the pc. So when you get to those parts, just play it on the pc then retransfer back to gpsp. It's the only way I've found to get around it.

yes i already figured that out its just kinda annoying when u have to switch back and forth cause the levels go pretty quick


For kingdom hearts i beat the last guy *i think* and the end video froze :( now i have to fight that guy again

R in Zelda functions as any other thing aside from rolling. (: Anyways, the next version of gpsp will have those things fixed. Don't worry! <P

The "genuine" bios is the one that enables KHCoM to actually play past the beginning (.bin). Any other version will just make it crap out. Not sure about the ending...still trying to beat Minish Cap myself haah.

Nah... stuffs happen. I don't even have anything to tell them that I'm a beta tester anyways and I didn't intend to let any of you know until I saw how annoying some guys were to Exo. < p At least some of them turn to me now instead of Exo. (:

only 32mb roms are unzipped .. everything else can be zipped..
but if you want them to boot faster have them all unzipped

Does anybody have a link besides DGEmu, for a perfect working FFIV Advance rom? I cant stand the music skipping and stuttering in the very beginning and an increase in frameskip doesnt resolve the problem. PM me if you do.

Also, music statics and stuterring is not because of the rom. If you had a bad one, it wouldn't boot up at all. ): Well... as for now, increase the frame skip to as high as you can accept it. Or... wait for the next release of gpsp.

Anyone getting Golden Sun 2- Lost Ages to work?

It plays fine, then right at the beginning when the character cast a spell and walks out the door, the Gameboy Advance screen pops up, does it's little chime and then the screen goes black, but you can hear scrambled sound...

^^Thats zipped...

Unzipped, it crashes to the blue screen at the exact same point....

well i have V-HEARTS.gba and then "gba bios.rar" one and the opening video worked fine but when i got to the end it froze

I use the genuine bios with Kingdom Hearts(E) and works fine for now, don't know about the ending video though.... Sword of Mana(U) works as well.

You need a good BIOS dump... like the cos-bios.zip. Otherwise most games will crash like that, or give you a bad jump or some crap

Golden Sun 2 definitely works past that point. I'm still looking into Kingdom Hearts, though.

hmm...I got that "cos-bios"....when you get it from that site is saves as "1155706306.5.zip"... .so I'm not sure what's going on then...

Well... unzip it and see if you got gba.bios or anything of the sort.
By the way, Kingdom Hearts - Chain of Memories is fully playable. The last video doesn't freeze or crash. ^^ If you need a save state, I'm more than happy to provide one. ;)

Yep, I'm playing games from the very beginning till the end on the beta to make sure they work flawlessly. ^^ Exo said that he was going for DBZ - Legacy of Goku and Mario & Luigi - Superstar Saga now. Right now, I'm just trying to confirm that LoZ is fully playable. :P
