PSP 2.71-SE B'' running emulators

I'm a complete newbie at the homebrew scene and decided a few days ago to jump in head first. I was able to install HEN C and the firmware 2.71-SE B'' without much difficulty. I went and found the SNES9 TYL 0.4 me emulator. After unzipping the readme file says to copy the specified folder 1.0 or 1.5 to "PSP\GAME". I have done so and put the ROMS with .smc extensions into the ROMS sub-folder under 1.5. I do not have anything else on my PSP. What do I need to run this and any emulators ? I have tried searching the forums without any help. Am I suppose to use HEN C in some way ? I thought this firmware did not require dev hook or eLoader to run emulators ?

Thanks for the replies. However, I did mention I DO have the emulator downloaded.

My question is how do I install the emulator ? The readme file just says to copy the necessary folders to the "PSP\GAME" folder which I have done. I thought the firmware 2.71SE-B"" was suppose to be able to handle this without the need of dev hook and eLoader ?

You're running 1.50 right? Hold your power button for 10 seconds to turn your psp off and change to 1.50 kernel in recovery mode. (Hold R while booting to go into recovery mode.)

If you're running SE-B" then you don't need hen-c. Delete that, put your 1.5 homebrew in a folder called GAME150 in the PSP directory and then run it in the game menu of your psp. If you've changed the settings for the GAME folder to run 1.5 homebrew in recovery, then put 1.5 homebrew in the GAME folder. All 2.71 homebrew go in the GAME271 folder. Read the readme.
