I'll edit this post whenever I test some more. Please note I'm using 2.71 SE-B without any of the modules installed. There was talk about the emulator not running at 333MHz on 2.71 SE-B, but I'm not sure of any truth to these, and I would assume them false.

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=43995

they've already got a compatability thread going. And the only reports of full speed have been with setting the cpu to 800% higher than normal speed on FF7 and all the other games report problems similar to the first release of psxp beta 1. Seems like someone took the beta and added overlocking options. Call me crazy but I don't think playing ps1 games is so important that i'm going to set cpu to 800%. I don't know where these %s are coming from but it sounds fishy.

exodus, according to the "dev" it seems like most FMVs are incompatible and it is recommended to use a pc emulator to make a save file after intro cinematics and resume from there. All the crashing errors and things I've read about seem connected with cutscenes/FMVs. Said method would probably get you further in Diablo...I dunno.

It does not change your CPU speed. The best way to describe it is, well, kind of like an emulated CPU frequency. Imagine it kind of like frameskip, if you will. Other emulators have used this before, such as Dolphin, a GameCube emulator for the PC.

I can't do anything of the sort unless I get to a menu screen to load the saves. Most games crash before getting to the menu, other than a few.

Megaman 8 aniversery is slow, but works completely! No graphics errors as of yet. (USA, .bin file)

Twisted Metal 4 freezes with green bar at bottom (USA, .bin file)

Twisted Metal 2 freezes after "developed by" screen (USA, .bin file)

Vigilante 8: Second Offense does not get past "loading game" screen (USA, .bin file)

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Beta gets in game, but the many graphical errors makes it unplayable - and its slow (USA, .bin file)

Crash Bandicoot very VERY fast in menus, but unfortunately fails to load the first map. It freezes at loading screen and the PSP eventually turns off. (USA, .bin file)

GameShark Lite freezes after the "loading game" screen (USA, .bin file)

Codebreaker does not make it past the "loading game" screen (USA, .bin file)

GameShark v5 loads and lets you select and view cheats (actually, the names of the games do not show). Obviously this is useless since we can't re-mount .bin's, etc. It was slower than i expected.... (USA, .bin file)

Thats all the testing im doing!

ah i see, that makes sense about the frameskip relation. In terms of the saves, I foolishly jumped the gun by thinking there was a form of save-state, heheh. Judging by the information about thow these emulated cpu throttles function, if it was paired up w/ the compatability of the psxpb2, we might see some interesting improvements.

If we do get save-states in, maybe he could allow importing from something like ePSXe, like SNES9xTYL did for SNES9x savestates.

Castlevania:SotN -NTSC. bin, cue, doesn't even get to the game intro. Looks like scrambled sprites in the place where the big Konami-popping-up-out-of-the-ground sequence is, pretty psychedelic, I bet it looks cool if you're on drugs.

For those who try using Gameshark and other codelike roms, they won't work, a codes option has to already be built into the emulator.

lol sound. I doubt you will ever see sound from this emulator during the lifetime of the PSP unless this guy works 24/7 on it.

Crash 3 PAL BIN
Fails to load, psp flashes memory stick then psp shuts off.

WORMS PAL BIN
Works brilliantly, better than psxp ever did, actually playable and enjoyable, 20fps+ at a guess

And ill make a guide after lunch. I know this emu isn't rocket science but some people won't get it.

Name: Grand Theft Auto 2
Region Code: NTSC
Format: BIN
Description: Well this is a tricky one. It ran fine with menus, but I started a new game at area 1. When the bar filled up (done loading) all the PSP does is just sit there w/ a black screen and the mem stick keeps on flashing.
Color: Dunno?

Name: Frogger
Region Code: NTSC
Format: BIN
Description: Again I am confused. It says the loading Frogger screen, then after that all there is is a black screen and the mem stick keeps flashing.
Color: Dunno?

Name: Blasto
Region Code: NTSC
Format: BIN
Description: It crashed as soon as I clicked it.
Color: RED!
