All right, I ripped my ff7 and it came off as a .img file. So... can I just run it in the emu right away or does it need converting? I'm away from my Pimp aSs Portable right now, or otherwise I'd just try it myself.

No ISO help is allowed here. Sorry.
IMG files will run on the emu but _Axel_ is right no iso help.
Er, I know. But this is PSX, and it's affiliated with the Emulator for the PSP. I'm not asking for a way to "g3t mai gta isoz to w3rk", but it's like asking for help with using a snes rom.Zitat:

It is but you know how the mods are here...Zitat:

IMG files do work. That's it that's all. Now close this thread.
Thank you driller killer and Mysterious Thug.
you could also just use isobuster and get a bin in the end
Which will load faster?
As far as I know, the only talk they disallow here is talk about ripped UMDs (PSP ISOs), else they wouldn't have PSX emu compatibility threads, instructions for ripping games, etc.
Don't just hear the word "ISO" and jump on the banhammer. Remember, ISO is only another image format, same as ROM, BIN, etc. It doesn't have to mean PSP ISO.
Thank god, there's still people like you around. I said ISO and people freaked.Zitat:

No ISO help period dude. That's in the rules too. It doesn't matter if it's PSX or PSP. No ISO talk period.
we are only allowed to talk about isos; not to help people make, or use them.
Untrue. There is a guide here that shows you how to make PSX isos.Zitat:

it is at least true for psp isos :PZitat:

Mods really screwed up with the rules didnt they?Zitat:

My guide just tells people how to make there own legal backup's of there PSX games. In conjunction with a legal PSX emulator. It tells people how to make bins, not the other type. It has all appropriate warnings on the thread and has been seen by a moderator on 2-3 occasions. You can actually save them as the other type instead of bin's using my guide but it makes little to no difference to the end result. You just have to tread carefully.
well then i could make a guide how to legaly back up your psp games then?
and plus as stated in that other thread mods dont make the rules admins don't the site owners do
 I'm glad some people can read still :pZitat:

There is a guide on making PSX ISOs because they do not contain legal notices about ripping them. It has always been legal to make your own Backups of PS1 games (however it is illegal to run them as the only way to do so WAS with a modchip, go figure that one out?). PSP games however cannot be legally backed up as they contain warnings that you cannot make your own backups of them, hence why a ripping guide would be allowed for PSX and not allowed for PSP. Not to mention that the tools used for ripping PSX games are legally and commercially available.
Anyway as has been said we do not help in the obtaining or running of ISOs.
Closed.
