Just wanna know, how do you know if you have a good one? is there a way to check if it's good or not?

Well, I can actually start the BIOS from gpsp, it's like loading a gba but then it freezes while it says game boy advance.

Of course you can start the bios, it has no purpous, I think to check if you have the authentic ones you need to check with a hex editor or something of the sort. Or 'fake' ones I think are 16kb and the real ones are like 17kb's or something like that.

after u start the emu, the bios is highlighted automatically, press down on d-pad and highlight your rom u want to play

oh and the real ones are 16kb, mine's is, and it works perfectly

well mine are 16kb, but they run games that are 8 mb perfect, but NOT POKEMON DANGIT!

Probably has a TA-082.

Also, I think Eloaders can only load ROMS 8mb and smaller, not any bigger.

Well the gpsp compatibility said that pokemon works, and pspvba runs pokemon, but slowly and the battery is dead on pspvba.

gpsp compatiability is important, but eloader compatiability is more important and is more limited

Discussion of the file is perfectly fine, asking for it and posting links to it is what we don't allow.

As for the original question the file should be 16.0 KB or 16,384 bytes. That's the info directly off a working file.

*cough* What the...? It's been 2 pages and nobody can tell him how to check if his BIOS is the good one or not? XS Uhhh... did you ever care to take a look at the readme file that comes along with gpsp? There should be infos about how to check if your BIOS is the right one or not in there.

Ok here's how you find out if you have the correct BIOS file or not. First get yourself a hex editor, open the hex editor then open your bios file with the hex editor if the begining number of the file is a 18 you have the correct bios if its a 14 you have a beta version of the bios. easiest way to find a hex editor just google hex editor and the first thing that comes up should do the trick, also google cos-bios.zip to find the good gba bios if you wanted to now its on the first page on that page somewheres hope this help u out

just in general though most games that are 32mb won't work. i tried riviera the promised land (even though i already have the real one for my GBM lol) and it screwed up before i could even get passed the main menu. i've yet to try yggdra union but i have a feeling it's not gonna work either. well anyway, i've been planning to buy that game also, so it's not much of a downer.

To clear things up, I downloaded the rom compressor, fixed the BIOS and now it works. Thanks everyone.

I'm on FW 2.60 with Eloader v.99 (not v .995). How did you get gPSP Kai 2.4 to work? I can't even get the emu to work and I do have the gba_bios.bin placed in the same directory as the eboot. When I try load the gpSP, it gives a black screen and then it my psp shuts off. Does it have to use Eloader v.995 to run?

Anyway, I just downloaded a new set of gba bios. The Bios Directory has 2 files: Gba.bin and Gba.bios. Both of them are 16KB in size. Which one do I use? Do I need to rename the gba bios file to "gba_bios.bin"?
