Default Pokemon GBA on 1.71

Firstly some infomation about my psp.

PSP Firmware 2.71
eLoader 0.9.9.5 Kriek
gpSP_kia_24

I have been trying to get Pokemon Saphire, Ruby or Emerald to work on my psp. On compatibility lists the game should work fine but everytime its loaded it crashes and displays the message
Code:
Exception - Address Load/inst fetch
EPC - 08A02A00
Cause - 00000010
Status - 60008613
BadVAddr - FFFFFFFF
This occurs when I try any of the GBA Pokemon Games. Has anyone had or have this problem and can it be overcome?

1. It was clearly a typo look at his post.
2. He NEVER SAID ANYWHERE that he had any of the SE's...

36Mafia36 I have noticed you have posted on many pokemon topics, so what type of rom compresser should i look for.

------------------------------------------
Right now I have FW1.5, to get the game to work do I just install gpSP like i did on 2.71

------------------------------------------
Ah, its a shame about 2.71 but have got it working. Thank you all for your help. xxx

Do you have a GBA bios? Many reasons why people complain that thier roms are not working because they don't have the gba bios. The gba bios should be placed in the gpSP folder and it should be 16kb. I must agree that you should downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 2.71SE-C. I use 2.71SE-C and gpSP_Kia_22 and pokemon games work fine for me. Even the big 32mb one does.

Rom Compressor?

if u have winzip, just put it in a winzip file, and its automatically compressed

or

right click on rom, and choose compress to:

winzip and press ok, works for me

yeah if u go down to 1.5 then up again to 2.71SE then u can use the 1.5 engine to run the homebrew, thereby giving you more possibilities

Bottom line: The latest version of gpsp doesn't load anything past 8MBytes (32Mbit) on the latest eloader no matter what firmware your PSP has. And it wouldn't help compressing the rom anyways so don't try that. If you're 2.71 or below, there's always the option of Devhooking 1.5 from 2.71 and playing the games that way. (below 2.71 users need to update to 2.71) And nope... games don't run faster on 1.5 nor does 1.5 offer anything else superior to 2.71 in terms of features.
