New gpSP and Zelda

Just as I got excited for the new gpSP and Zelda, it now freezes at a new part, I'll wrap it in spoiler tags just for the noobs who will flame



now I am mad, because I still can't beat the game, anyone else get this problem and is there a way around it.

I keep freezing at the boss of the Drop Temple.
And the saves don't seem to work with VBA on the PC, so...well maybe I'm using an older version. I'll double check later.

At the boss at the temple of droplets you must use the latren on for as little time as possible. Having it on too long will crash it. I beat Zelda minish cap with gPSP 0.7

Huh? Well I just turn the latern on and it's pretty much an instant freeze. But if it works on GPSP 0.7, I'll use that to get by that point, make a savestate, then use the newer version again. Thanks.

are you serious? I'll try that right away

@Arturo-rdz I beat the last temple I'm on to the final part and it freezes after there

OK 0.7 doesn't have save state, so that's out the window

ohh fu*k It forzes on Dark Hyrule Caste the path with the llittle tornadoes ((

No when I went to the goron it forzes, but with the newer version (gpSP 2.5) I can pass to the tornadoe

that sucks I almost beat the game, well I start waiting for a downgrader or a new version of gpSP

pd: I download the bios from Ares is gba_bios the mdsum is better?

Well I'm using the non 2.80 version of gpSP. It runs fine on my 2.80. In fact better than the 2.80 version, as audio stuttering that happens with some games with the 2.8 version aren't present with the version made for 1.0 and 1.5.

If you mean Emerald, Sapphire, ruby, ect. They all worked. You just had to use the GBA Rom compressor. Then compress them into ZIP files.

Just flash the lamp on and off. Never keep the lamp on for more than a second during that boss fight.

No, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red is probably one of the ONLY pokemon games that does NOT work. Although I think that's because of the sheer size of the ROM, which is double that of all the other pokemon games, even when compressed.

Mystery Dungeon works. Period. :P
And the lamp thing, actually, use it and then switch to another weapon immediately! If you have it equipped for too long (a few secs), the game will crash.

only use the lamp when needed and when all the lights go off DON'T USE IT it will crash. And Savestate a lot and you'll be fine.

Or bottom line: the best method right now to get over that is wait for the next release of gpsp. :P And I guarantee you guys that that bug will be gone in the next release.
