BS Zelda rom working
Has anyone got the BS Zelda rom to work on any SNES emu? I have downloaded it from a couple diffrent sites, but still no luck. I dunno if its me and my rom, or if noone has got it to work. I have a 1.50, and I cannot get the uo_Snes9x_002y29 version to work. It gives me a "game cannot start" error, so I dunno if that version runs the rom. I am a diehard Zelda fan, and wanted to really try this game out on my PSP. :wall: Thanks in advance!

Download the Eboots from my thread...then put both folders into your PSP/GAMES directory, then place the zelda.smc file (zipped or not zipped) into the PSP/GAMES/SNES/ROMS folder (Not the PSP/GAMES/SNES% folder). Try that then let me know if it works for you.

Planes flying high over head while the sirens scream into the night. Sounds of doors locking and windows being boarded up is all that could be heard. Worried parents looking for daughters and sons that might not be home yet sparcly sprinkeled throught the street.
Not a man or woman without a worried look on their face.
Yes, this is a n00b alert.
Whats the BS mean?

Bantai-Sattleview was a Super Famicom add-on that let you download games to play on your Super Famicom and was available only in Japan, IIRC...one of those was BS (named for the system) Zelda, which was a remake and update of the first Legend of Zelda. There were other BS games, but this was probably the most popular one.

I have been able to run two of the three different BS Zelda games. The two I have been able to get running were the BS Legend of Zelda-The Ancient Stone Tablets and BS Legend of Zelda-Triforce of the Gods (Kamigami no Triforce).
I still can't get the first BS Legend of Zelda, but I'm gonna keep trying.

Please explain what emulator you got to play these on and how? My understanding was no Snes emulator for PSP would run BS Software...
Thanks!

That is actually false. There are some BS files the uo_Snes9x 02 something 28 release. As I said above, there are files you can download like the BS Zelda The Ancient Tablets and BS Zelda Triforce of the Gods. Also the original BS Bios do work (though I haven't seen a point to even emulating them. BS Super Famicom Wars also works. However, BS Fire Emblem series does NOT work.
Google the two Zelda games I mention and you should find the file somewhere...

Triforce of the Gods is the Japanese version of A Link to the Past with a few small differences like the main menu and that and came out on BS.
The other, the Ancient Tablets was a tottally original game that is really a wrap up of the events in Link's Awakening and LttP.
Still haven't gotten BS Zelda (The original Legend of Zelda upgraded) to work on the emu, hopefully a person porting the SNES will figure this into their next release..?

The new emulator snes9xTYL-0[1].1.zip Plays BS ZELDA!!! THX!!! GO GET IT!!! the other 2 BS games listed are just Link to the Past with a twist. maybe you might want, but BS ZELDA original is the most unique IMHO.

Confirmed. However, you have to get a special pre-patched version of BS Zelda to get it to work. Again, Google is your friend but we can play all BS Zelda titles now!

BS was one of nintendo's many failed stepchildren.
Basicly it was a perepheral for your SNES that aloud you to download games through satalite. New games were released every week or something like that, most of them were just ports of nes games.

As was said it was an addition to the Famicom Disk System that allowed you to download games. It soon failed and was only released in Japan.
The original BS Zelda, that now works with the new Snes emulator, snes9xTYL v.1, was an upgraded 16 bit version of the original Zelda game.
The BS Zelda The Ancient Stone Tablets was a whole new miniature adventure that supplemented the stories of A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. However, it is currently only in Japanese with no available patches for English. Also, you will need the floors.ips patch to fix the indoor environments.
The BS Zelda Triforce of the Gods is the Japanese version of A Link to the Past.
There are other BS games including a version of Super Famicom Wars, Fire Emblem, a character library of Chrono Trigger, and more. Because BS required you to download the files at a certain time or point, it is ultra rare to get one of the BS systems, nonetheless, get one with the BS games still on it.

Has anyone ever played with Zelda Classic (http://www.zeldaclassic.com)? It's a PC remake of the original Zelda. You can get it exactly the same or with enhanced graphics. It even comes with a level designer so you can completely make your own Zelda game. I just wonder if that could somehow be used to export a game to a PSP format.
