    Standard Best Emulator?

What do you think the best emulator for the PSP is? I pretty much just play the SNES one. I only have a 32MB mem stick and want to find some other good emulators without having to try them all out. Sick of swapping emulators and roms onto my PSP. Let me know what you think are the best ones..
    thanks..

You just have to know how to configure it so it can run at full speed. It also saves all the seetings for EACh game!! a plus factor as well as the thumbnails for the save states

I like the uo_snes9x ver.0. 02y28, runs great just clock the psp at 333 mhz and 2-3 frameskips and they run nice. I have not tried the y29 yet but should be alittle better I think.

Also I like the NesterJ ver1.07, runs great also. Nes games are the best and the hacks also.

If I was you I invest in a better Memory stick, like a 512mb sandisk. Just check on ebay, maybe you get one for a good deal if your lucky. I got lucky and got on e for $35.

Lets just say that the PCE .7(cd rom support) and Neocdpsp has cemented my decision to stay with homebrew. They're just too good to pass up especially on a portable.

Talking uo_snes9x is my best bud.

I'm well into the above emulator, and it seems to run full speed on all but the most beastly of games. It shudders a bit on Street Fighter Alpha 2 mind.

Other than that, I've been using the Scummvm emulator to play Day of the tentacle. I think Scummvm is an impressive example of what you can do with the PSP.

I'm not too into NeoGEO stuff, in fact I'm completely clueless, but I'll search the forums and see what all the fuss is about.

So, in summary, I think uo_snes9x is the best for my quick gaming fixes and Scummvm is the mainstay when I'm after long term, point and click tomfoolery.

I can't wait for the PSone emulator to get up and running though. Or as somebody else mentioned, a saturn emulator. Panzer Dragoon anyone?

The fuss about the Neo emulator is a lot to do with the power of the system, heck Metal Slug looks better than 90% of commercial PSP games available. If you go into the the "Help Emulators...." forum there is a guide on getting the Neo CD emulator working, and it is defintley worth the effort.

I haven't played anything but SCUMMVM adventure games since Beta 2 came out, so I'd have to pick that one.

Fortunately, I'm a packrat and have all my old game CDs in binders (back to "Jones in the Fast Lane", the first game I ever bought on CD), so I have a ton of great games compressed onto one of my 1 GB sticks.

Right now, I'm carrying around Maniac Mansion, Maniac Mansion Enhanced, Day of the Tenticle, Escape from Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2, Loom, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Sam & Max Hit the Road, Full Throttle, and the Full Throttle demo from the Chrysler test drive CD (I use the opening sequence to show off how awesome homebrew is).

I can't say enough about how well the games play. Even after compressing the audio files, they all still play flawlessly.

A place to get the emulators? hmm... I would say that this site would be a good bet.

I don't personally see what all the fuss is about with the NeogeoCD and any other variations of NeoGeo. I'm from the UK and the only thing we got was the NeoGeo Pocket which was available in stores for about 6 months before it disappeared from all existence. As for NeoGeo CD I had never head of this before joining the forums. I mights have to give it a go (if i can find roms) though cos everyone raves about it here.

    My favourite emus are:

NesterJ v1.07, PSPGenesis v0.17 and uo_snes9x_002y31 for the PSP
and Jnes, ZSNES, gens and Project64 for the PC. (I know this wasn't asked for but you didn't specify just PSP)

And soon will be installing RIN cos I had forgotten all about Pokemon.

    Standard Who wants any emulators...

For those who need workable emulators for NeogeoCD, NesterJ or Sega Genesis for V1.5 can leave his or her emails, I will sent it to you. It works for me.

Actually now I'm hoping someone could make some homebrew for using the emulators to play games and listen to MP3 store in the PSP at the same time. I wonder if it is possible.

    Standard Memory Sticks?

I would like to find out currently what is the price for Sony 1GB memory stick high speed at your location. As more and more people are stuffing their memory sticks with more and more emus and games, larger capacity is needed. Please let me know the price and your location. Thanks!!

We did get both the Neo Geo and Neo CD over here but they were never meant as mainstream consoles so that's probably why you've never jheard of them before. Not many people, were prepared to fork out 3100 a go for a game hence its niche status.
