Right now for the Wii i have component cables and i must say, although it's obvious, i'm displeased. Now i dont find the quality too bad depending on the game. For instance Metroid Prime 3 still run's pretty well visually on my 07', 32' Samsung HDTV but on the contrary Wii sports looks dull as dirt. The difference between progressive and interlaced so far as i can tell is progressive will allow more vibrant colors but everything looks really edgy and grainy due to the extra amount being thrown on the screen at once so it's hard decide between the two. Now i have yet to try S-Video so i was wondering if anyone around has tried the S-Video cables for the wii on an HDTV and noticed a better picture than can be given over component cable's. As a side note, aside from the size, the native res. is 720p and the highest res. is 1080i. The best picture i've seen for the Wii on an HD is at a local gamestop running Mario Galaxy on a 19' which looked just fine in motion but had a higher amount of jagged edges than a regular TV would produce when just sitting still.
