Hey guys, I am new here. I had purchased a Wii on launch day and wasn't really happy with it. Some of the launch games they had weren't what i was looking forward to but the virtual console made it all shiny to me so i got it. Well i sold it to a less fortunate family for a really cheap price and made due with my 360.
Well, i happened to be in the right place at the right time and purchased a new one. There are a bunch of import games that I wanted to get, but i know the NTSC console does not play any kind of import games. Well, I am not familar with soldiering at all or anything like that. I wanted to know if there was a way to modify my Wii, without myself actually soldiering it. I don't know any that can do it right now. But, it would really make me happy to play some back ups and import games is it possible? Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you good at soldering? If you are then install a modchip a wiikey is the best for noobs. PM me if you need help.

One more question guys, if a wii mod chip is installed. Do you get banned from getting the online services as nintendo? or is it a stealth like mod chip?

Not that I know of...Online shopping is fine ATM..Tho things may change once brawl comes out..

I think i should wait then. I really appreciate you guys helping a Noob out. I hate being a noob lol. This place is hella cool. I def want smash brothers brawl. But, man its going to be a wait.

You can unlock your Wii to play import games, copied games, homebrew, and DVD's using the Wii Homebrew Unlock Hack!
