Well I don't have an ED or HDTV but my TV does support component and s-video cables. Now I know I wont experience 480p quality but would there be any incentive in getting either cable for my Wii rather than just sticking with what came in the box. Thanks
Wait, isn't an EDTV a TV that can output 480p? I thought that the lower end of the Component support is 480p, therefore you TV is an EDTV.
If you use composite, you'll get a sharper image. I saw a youtube video that compared the two (composite and component) and I must say composite looks better, although I only have the default composite cables.
I had thought so, but when I looked up my TV online it said it only supported 480i and SDTV. Any thoughts?
Component supports 480i so your TV is not EDTV. Component or S-video cables will both give you a sharper picture. Component will give you a little better color than S-video.
So get yourself a component or S-video cable, but don't pay over $20 for one.
