[ DESCRIPTION ]:

- This is a Custom IOS, an IOS modified to add some new features
not available in the official IOS.

This IOS has been made to be used ONLY with homebrew software.

The Custom IOS installs as IOS249 and it does not modify any other
IOS so it is secure to install.


[ REQUISITES ]:

- "IOS37-64-v2070.wad" original WAD file.


[ HOW TO INSTALL IT ]:

- Copy "IOS37-64-v2070.wad" file to the root of a SD card.
- Insert the SD card on your Wii.
- Run the installer.


[ KUDOS ]:

ability to load backups for emulators without modchip, SO FAR, who knows maybe he will make it into a backup loader because everyone backs up there disks and doesnt know what torrents are. custom wii menus in the future maybe, this is just a PoC really

noo not piracy, for people that legit backup there games it might yes, and yes that was a joke, im trying to be inconspicuose(what ever i cant spell that word lol) about the whole piracy thing

I would bet that more people would use it for piracy, and not for backing up their own legitimate games.

wow I been holding back on hacking my wii. Since there nothing brew wise for the wii but this might change my mind. Now I can get into playing games that are not worth paying for but still like to try out.

Well what does it do? Just runs emulators? You can do this without the custom firmware, so I dont see the point at the moment.

It's a proof of concept. The early PSP 1.5 custom firmwares seemed pointless but without them we wouldn't be where we are today with CFW.

useless for now, but being able to install our own patched firmware(s) is a step forward, the only thing is that there seems to be about 4 or 5 different people makeing them at the moment, the best one(when finished) will be "patchMii) it even has a nice splash screen saying your wii is being hacked, its pretty cool. just wait a month or 2 befor we see anything really intresting for this, maybe built in emulators that just read from the SD card from the wii menu, something like that, eventualy, everything is only just comeing undone for wii really in terms of patched firmware

once this is n00b proof we can finaly stop getting stupid kids asking dumb questions about stuff like this and there crazy ideas on “if you set your wii to connect to your pc then send the wad over you can install your own wad” but theres never really been a point befor because everyone got hyped over IOS37, its good to see how much you have done for the wii since the C23(i think it was that) convention, keep up the good work, just hope waninkoko doesnt get in on this eh? lol stealing you thunder with his piracy tools

people like this stuff on here,im not praising him, on hackmii i say that waninkoko would steal there thunder by making cIOS and not giving thanks to bushing and that, but he did so its all good, i cant edit what i posted on there so u know

o new release by him aswell no copyrighted stuff in there
