what happens if you use the wrong version USA by mistake, there are 2 versions of the disk iirc what if I use the wrong one will it wreck my wii?

I used the wrong one and it simply froze up.
I unplugged my wii and restarted, it's fine.
Didn't seem to cause any harm.
Yeah I'm retarded >.<

so i was in the middle of putting the hack on my sd card and my little bro updated to 4.0

is there any way to downgrade firmware without having HBC on my wii? or better yet can i load HBC from new SD channel? if so where do i find the download? please help!!!
