A better "Backing Up Wii Games" thread
I did not want to post in the other one posted here because people read the first post there and leave.
Now my proposal is to use SDload to startup a gamecube linux distro, I'm pretty sure that the only ones downloadable from the gamecube linux site need some form of LAN port support.
So someone would have to make a minimalistic distro, all that would be needed would be support for USB mass storage drives, and the DD program.
You start up this mini-distro put a Wii disc in the tray, use DD to make an ISO or IMG of the disc, and save it to the USB mass storage device.
Bring it to a PC and see what info ISO buster can make of it, also find some people that are good with hex file structure info, and see if they can figure out a basic file structure.
That is my "basic" idea of how to start Wii hacking/Game dumping.
Wii cant do anything until wii figure out the file structure of games.
