hey guys my ps3 is 120gb, i bought it in september this year so its 3 months old.
I told them my date of purchase, one person asked me to fax my receipt for proof, when i rang up again for the number to fax, the person said its been provided and to just send the ps3 in (they had already emailed me the slip you take to a post office.
Sent ps3 a week ago to the day
today i rang up and they said they had just received it in their service center this morning, i should have gotten an email to say so. I said ok cool (this was at about 11:30pm) They said that they will email me again when its been sent back.
Got home and i have an email saying they have received it, and one saying its been dispatched with an aus post tracking number that was lodged at 12:33 ..an hour after i phoned.
My question is, the email is extremely vague, It says its been dispatched, it doesnt say if its been repaired, if its been replaced, if its not covered under warranty due to any stupid circumstance like me changing the hdd. etc etc.
The entire email was just the following:
Good news, your PlayStation has been despatched. Please use this link and the following reference *legit ref number* to track its progress."
So has anyone had it return to them un repaired/ replaced/repaired etc when they have said they have "dispatched it" ... They could have dispatched a broken unit to mars for all i know lol.
