After reading IGN's less than spectacular impressions of Red Steel, I have started to worry over the potential quality of third party software on the Wii. First of all, it's a very different way of developing games, and they may just do ports or conventional games with a couple of unneeded motion sensory features thrown in. Also, the controller. Since it is a very precise and intricate device, the cheap controllers sold by other companies such as Logic3 or whatever will likely be of a very different quality- it's easy to make a passable copy of a Cube controller, not so easy to make one of a Wii one. I'm not particularly worried about this though, if you think about it, most of the classic N64 games were made by Nintendo or Rare, apart from maybe Turok. I suspect we will see very high quality first party games and bog standard kiddy games from the rest. But who needs the rest anyway? I have a PC.
