The PS2 has more games that are aiming to be realistic and realistic means duller colours especially if you live in England, with our weather a realistic game would most likely be black and white. Now lets not forget Burnout Revenge when a crashbreaker goes off and the explosion fills the screen you cant get much brighter than that. And the brightly coloured cars. In my opinion Nintendo makes more kiddish (for lack of a better word) games. I don't really mean that the games are all aimed at children but they are much brighter, and most of them a lot of fun. With a more mainstream console such as the PS2 or Xbox there are more games released for them as more people have them, as such that means more games that deserve a place in the garbage rather than on your shelf. |

but thats what makes the games fun and funny the cute cartoony look of games like sonic and tales of symhponia and many others i actually like the anime and cartoon styles of the games

Smaxor5, please stop trying to start things....
I myself am a great fan of Anime, there is nothing wrong with it. Anime is better than movies, better than cartoons, better than any TV show..Anime rules all in the networking company (mainly in Japan). Anime is not really for "little kids"..it is more for mature audiences who can understand some of the more advance anime

The very first videogame I ever played was Super Mario. So I definitly give Nintendo props on what its done for the industry. The only thing that really pisses me off about Nintendo is this:
They invented the d-pad right? Ok. I grew up on the d-pad. When they came out with the analog thumbstick it was great. It was the only way to play 3D games. But I started to notice something. Sometimes you just have to use the d-pad, and guess what, the N64 wouldn't let you. Most of the games on 64 totally do not use the d-pad, which sucks because I hate navigating menus with a stick. I either push too hard, or the wrong way. Its very frustrating. And not to mention that now my 64 pads are so old that sometimes they start controlling themselves. Then when the Gamecube came out, they had that d-pad that was soo small its almost unuseable, and even then it wasn't used anyway. I LOVE games like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, but HATE the fact that when I'm having to write a letter or sell freaking apples, or watering plants that I'm forced to use a thumbstick (although the GC stick is FAR better than the 64's) and end up typing a wrong letter, selling the wrong item, or watering something that has already been watered. Thats why I was happy to see that the Revolution controller has a decent d-pad.
