Kids are gonna have to find something else to do while waiting for their folks because California stateswoman Julia Brownley is proposing limited gaming time in day care facilities in the state. The state may not have succeeded in keeping the games from kids, and now they're trying to keep kids away from the games.
According to Assembly Bill 627, almost 20 of kids between two to five years old are overweight, and it's gonna be harder to reverse at adolescence and adulthood. For that, and a lot of other nutrition related reasons, state rep Brownley wants to limit gaming time in day care centers to one hour a day.
Furthermore, the games "shall be limited to educational programming or programs that encourage movement." Naturally, Wii Fit fits the bill.
Well, if it helps kids move around and stay active, this one's okay. It's just for an hour in the day cay center anyway. How about you guys?
