wow....being 70 sucks -.- i thought i could relax, but now i have even more to do/worry about....owell...back to farming and questing and running instances = \

sigh, guild wont let me do Kara till i have all blues...who woulda thought that would be so hard...but it is...still need bracers, belt and soon enough i'll have my erpic shoulders but still = \ takes forever to get the stuff

Yup it sure takes a sh*tload of time to get what you want....then blizz throws in more crap that makes us go "damn i want that!" then we start all over and try to get it. I'm currently farming mats for my spellfire set, got the belt and gloves, now for the vest. For kara i recomend atleast +500 spell dmg, so all blues is probably just about right. Kara is freaking tough for the guild im in. I currently top the dmg meters every run we have done so far. We still cant manage to get down the second boss, but i think this is due to the rest of the guild being undergeared (i probably have the best gear in the guild )

well today after much farming, barganing, schelping, and money spent, i finally got my tailoring high enough and the mats for my shoulders. http://thottbot.com/i21869
everyone says fire is better for dps but i never had good luck with it, always prefered frost and thought/think i do more with it which is why i went shadoweave...thinking about regreting it sine everyone not a mage seems to favor fire ones so much and if i ever had to switch to fire = \ but owell. im happy.

also pruby any sugestions on where i should put my last talent point form level 70? i have 2 in the arcane that decreases enemys resistance, everythign else into frost but idk where to put my last. nothing in frost seems too good...i dont use arcane missiles enough or at all really to need the 20% to not get hit...dontp use fire ball so i dont need the stun or reduced cast time by .1 sec...any sugestions?

I cant look at your armory atm (at work, its blocked )
but if your mostly frost you could go with a 51/10 frost/arcane build. i would put the first 5 points in the uninteruptable arcane missles as the other talents in that tier arent that good imo. and the next five points in clearcasting(arcane concentration) which is pretty nice, especially in instances you. you pretty much get a free spell to cast. When you proc clearcasting is when you would be more likely to use arcane missles because any other time the mana cost is alot. But since its free and uninteruptable (because of the other 5 points) it makes for a decent spell to cast, especially since your frost and have no way to avoid being interupted other than your frost barrier. it also does a nice bit of dmg as well. my frost build would look something like this http://www.worldofwar.se/talents/tal...ed5zundefined1 my arc/fire build looks like this atm http://www.worldofwar.se/talents/tal...dB2undefinedy1 this is a very fun build, if you havent tryed a ap/pom/pyro and 1-shotted someone with an 8k pyro.....its awesome.

how the **** do you get an 8k pyro? i went pom fire for a while...my highest crit was maybe like...2.6 with pyro...its bull****, i hit for crap with fire lol.

Well the actual spell did around 5961 dmg, that is the arcane power/presense of mind/and a trinket (+120 dmg for 15 secs). plus the ignite dot which is 40% of the spells total dmg so 5961x0.40=2384, 2384+5961=8345 and there is also the pyro dot which is around 500 with my +dmg. so it is actually close to 9k. 8845 dmg. this is all of course if you crit. I have a macro setup to where all i have to do is press 1 button and the ap/pom/trinket/pyro casts all at once(possible because all of these have no global cooldown). What is really fun is flying above an alliance then getting off your mount and slow falling down to them and 1 shotting them from the sky, they never see it coming

oh and in a fire build scorch is awesome against elite mobs and bosses, once fully stacked you get an xtra 15% fire dmg, i had a 4300 fireball the other day that was b4 the ignite dot too.

Yeah same build. +fire dmg shouldnt matter if you have a decent amount of +spell dmg since +spell effects all spells. I would recommend this build at 70 for pve/grinding mobs/pvp. There are other builds like a pure fire one for better dps in an instance. But i tend to pvp/grind mobs and do instances so it works well for me. Its really nice for burst dmg imo. The other day a 70 warrior and 70 mage jumped me... i turned around and ap/pyro/pom 1-shotted the mage in 1 second and proceeded to kite/woop the warriors a$$

woot! finally was able to run BM and finish my kara attune...now to get rid fo agreen belt and ring and start trying to pug and run kara in general!

also i got a nice BoE staff in bm that im using now till i have time to farm sh or sl for single handed caster blades

Manny i would have to disagree that a mix of fire/frost (elemental build) is the best dps spec. It also depends on what your doing as well, for instance if you are raiding with your guild imp frost nova wont be needed, therefore dont spend points in that. and 2 points in frost warding?! i have probably only had to use my frost ward twice in over 20 days /played. Improved blizzard wont be used much either unless you are aoe farming (which isnt viable in TBC) also imp AM(arcane missles) is kinda pointless w/o clearcasting, the mana cost isn't efficient without the proc. For overall instance dps look up the 48/10/3 build. you wont get enough benefits going deep into the frost and fire trees. Its better to stick with one tree or mix one with arcane.

Diablo you should keep running BM, there are some pretty nice drops in there, get the quest for it as well. the quest gives you something like 8k rep. It is really easy to get revered for Cot and get the continuum blade (which is pretty nice)

No offense but just because two authors support it doesnt mean its the best. You noted its a 1-70 guide, which might be an "ok" build for leveling but we are discussing spec at 70. If you look around very few people would use a build like that, its all about pure fire/frost or fire/arcane frost/arcane. You get the best benefits of a tree by going deep into it. your build goes deep fire and somewhat into frost. 1st the problems in your fire side, since this appears to be a leveling spec there isnt much need for imp scorch or master of elements, these are raiding/instance talents. wow looking closer at your spec makes me really think WTF. no imp fireball and your deep fire spec! longer cast times FTL and slower killing. two points in incinerate is a waste of two points, you dont have flame throwing! that makes your range more limited. flame throwing and imp fireball are probably the two top must haves in the fire tree.
then you have imp AM but no clearcasting....

now for your frost tree:
no improved frostbolt! dude that is a must for using frost bolts man, longer cast times=not good. imp frost ward=useless. for anything in frost shatter is also a must have, you could drop the 5 points in imp AM and drop the two points in frost ward and put them to better use by getting ice shards (three points) and get 4/5 shatter. That build really makes me question who wrote that guide man....that is a horrible build. go to worldofwarcraft.com forums or worldofwar.com forums for spec help. trust me dude respec and you will be amazed how much better you will be.

i have improved frostward and it isnt that bad. i have run into quite a few mobs in netherstorm, even in BM that use forstbolt and with the frostward, you have a chance to reflect the spell back at them which is very handy. now that i look at my tree i relized i shouldnt have put somethings in some places (like blizzard cause i barley use it) but maybe when i think of a revised one to get he thigns i want and need in there, plus good stuff in other trees...maybe i'll respec and splits it from pure frost

Frost ward isnt that bad of a talent, its just that the points for it are better off spent elsewhere. When i grind mobs getting hit a few times from a frostbolt doesnt really phase me because i have a 70% chance for no interuption from my fire talents, i also have about 6300hp so a few frostbolts dont really dent my HP. It also uses mana which i try to preserve so i can continue grinding without stopping to drink. The spell frost ward can come in handy at seldom times, but the spell without the talent points works just fine imo. Another thing that is awesome in the arcane tree is improved counterspell. You see a mob casting on you? counterspell its ass and continue killing it. most mobs i grind dont have a chance to get anything off on me unless my CS is on cooldown.

heh, im happy. found a guild doing kara that needed one more and i hooked up with em. we got maiden down to 15%!! so close. i was out dpsing a fire mage too on the boss. karas fun, looks like it'll be a great time, great repair bills too.

well, after almost 10 wipes, full broken armor, 13g repair bill for cloth, and few more wipes, we finally downed that *****! man, i wish i frapped it. frapped every other thing, then ran outa room on my hdd so depressing.

thank god the guild was nice, they let me roll for loot even though i wasnt in the guild, sometimes gay guilds wont let you cause they want their guild tohave the gear. not only did i roll, but i won new bracers http://thottbot.com/i28515 then there were shammy gloves i said i could DE for them.....but my encht was ****ing 14 levels away, so i went and spent 200g to power level my encht to 300 just so i could DE for them and not look like some ******* jerk ninja, cause of course i wanna go back tomorow night

I'm thinking i need to switch guilds, we just dont raid enough and when we do its only on the weekend....Master are you planning on being a twink in the 59 bracket? if not i would suggest not using your honor/marks for an epic item that will probably be replaced by an outlands green items in a few levels. Gold is incredibly easy to come by in outlands so an epic mount is quite easy to get, but the epic flyer....not so easy 5k gold is hard to save for me, i keep blowing my money trying to craft my last epic for my spellfire set. But by tonight i should have the full set woot!

master, as he said, i wouldnt recomend getting pvp gear now. if anything use your pvp marks for an epic mount rather than buying one. althoug it depends what pants too i gues...i had lvl 48 pvp boots till 70 cause they were that good....

Isnt the epic mount 30 marks from AB/WSG/AV?
i always found AV to last waaaaay too long, 30 marks would take weeks imo.
