First off, you have to know that my PC is very close (~8 feet) to my 360. I also have a computer which has TOSLINK IN and OUT. My current surround sound speaker set is connected via the three connectors, green, black, orange.
Now the question. Instead of getting expensive sets and recievers, can I simply take an optical cable connected from the 360 thing and connect it to my computer via the toslink IN, and then have that be outputted in surround sound to my speaker set?
Kinda complicated I know. Its the same as if I connected something via "line in" on my sound card and then broadcast it through the speakers, except instead it will be in toslink in, and broadcast through surround sound. Is it possible?
