On my PC I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 (32-bit) and WMP 11. I'm having trouble getting sharing my media files with my 360 via WMP's library. All the files I share are recognizable by the 360, I recently had to reinstall windows and that's when this trouble started.
I added my stuff to my WMP library and then went to file sharing. My 360 is detected there and I allow it, but on my 360 it is unable to connect to my PC.
HOWEVER, I'm also running TVersity and my 360 is able to connect to the Tversity library no problem. Prior to reinstalling windows, I could run both WMP library server & TVersity server simultaniously no problem so there shouldn't be a conflict. I even killed the Tversity server just to be sure but it still couldn't connect to my PC. I only use TVersity for videos that the 360 can't play on its own.
I have the necessary ports open on my router, (side question: am I supposed to direct the open ports to my PC or my 360? I tried both ways and it seemingly made no difference.)
Anyone have any other suggestions?
